HSE/High School Diploma
One of our top goals at Phoenix Job Corps is to ensure that every qualified student obtains his or her HSE/high school diploma prior to leaving the center. Students who don't already have a high school diploma upon their arrival at Phoenix can enroll in our HSE program.
English Language Learning Program
Students needing to learn English can enter our English Language Learning (ELL) program. Students in the ELL program are tested regularly to determine their language proficiency levels.
Tutors and academic support
Tutoring programs are available where students are tutored in math, reading, social studies, and writing by instructors or by fellow students (Peer Student Tutors). Students interested in getting into a tutoring program may contact their instructors or the Academic Manager.
HIGHER EDUCATION partner
The Advanced Career Training (ACT) program gives students the opportunity to receive advanced education/technical training. Students in the ACT program may participate in other Job Corps center programs such as the Transportation Communications Union (TCU), and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or A+ Training.
To qualify for the ACT program, a student must:
- Be enrolled 180 days in Job Corps with good attendance

- Have a HSE or high school diploma
Benefits of the College Program include:

This program is offered through a partnership with The Maricopa Community College District, which includes 10 colleges, two skill centers, and numerous education centers.
